Rachel Jansen - Director

Rachel founded Finding Facts and Solutions in 2022, following a period with Tasmania Police, then pursued a career including roles in operations, business administration, HR, compliance, and risk management.

Rachel holds an MBA, BCom, and BA, is an accredited Inquiry Agent under Tasmania’s Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002, and is registered to work with vulnerable people.

FF&S is a panel provider for investigation services to the Tasmanian State Service and the Office of Local Government.

Since launching the business, Rachel has led numerous workplace investigations and provided HR, policy, and compliance support across government, private, and for-purpose sectors.

With a strong eye for detail, Rachel brings a trauma-informed, human-centered approach, underpinned by integrity, impartiality, and a commitment to fair, high-quality outcomes.

Michael Easton - Consultant

Michael brings over 30 years of experience in the public sector, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Tasmanian Integrity Commission. His career has focused on investigations, governance, and advising senior leaders across agencies on complex strategic and operational matters.

Michael offers deep expertise in workplace investigations, governance reviews, and policy development, underpinned by both technical skill and practical experience. He is known for delivering fair, balanced outcomes that reflect a strong understanding of public sector environments.

He is an accredited Inquiry Agent under the Security and Investigations Agents Act 2002 (Tas), is registered to work with vulnerable people, and has completed training in trauma-informed practice.

Ruth Orr - Consultant

After a long and successful career with Tasmania Police, Ruth joined Finding Facts and Solutions, bringing 27 years of experience working with people in a wide range of circumstances. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Professional Honours (Public Sector Leadership and Management) and a Graduate Certificate in Police Studies.

Ruth is a motivated professional with a strong work ethic, emotional intelligence, and excellent interpersonal skills. She is guided by values of fairness, integrity, and accountability, and is committed to treating all individuals with respect. Her dedication to public service extends to volunteer work supporting mental health, community engagement, and environmental causes.

Scott Jansen - Director

Scott co-established Finding Facts and Solutions, and brings a wealth of project management experience, general management and business administration skills to complement and assist the team.

Scott has a Diploma of Project Management and an Advanced Diploma of Management, along with having worked in a large GBE, private enterprise, and in the offshore oil and gas industry, Scott's breadth of experience value adds to what is an exemplary team.
